Different Stages Of Hypnosis Process

In the next stage the patient is asked to imagine his position if he had not begun with the habit of smoking.
He will slowly recollect the activities that he was able to do before he started to smoke. He will understand that he would have continued to enjoy with them if only had he not taken up the habit of smoking. At this juncture the hypnotist will also explain that he will again be tempted by people to smoke. He will also be asked to imagine the plight thereafter if he succumbs to their demand.

In the next stage the smoker will be explained about the benefits that he is likely to enjoy once he quits smoking. He will be asked to visualize them and as well as remember them deeply so that it stays in his subconscious memory. The aim of this step is to make sure that the smoker does not think of the habit any more. Even if he does he will always be made to remember the benefits. He is asked to remember about each and every benefit and made to realize the advantages thoroughly.

Smokers also have some myths regarding withdrawal symptoms. They think that they will lose health and suffer from one problem or other after they quit smoking. In this stage the hypnotist will explain that the withdrawal symptoms be it physical or mental will not be permanent and will continue only till the activities in the body are regulated.

They will even be asked to visualize them and made to understand that such ideas are uncalled for, in the final stage of hypnosis smoking cessation.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Hypnosis Process
The biggest advantages of hypnosis process are that it can be used to cure anybody. If it is undertaken by a qualified physician and preferably a psychiatrist then the smoker is assured of results provided he cooperates. Hypnosis process does not advocate medications and is hence regarded to be risk free. Another advantage of this method is that one can identity the true cause for smoking and rectify the same. This method is not free from limitations as the mind comes under heavy pressure during hypnosis.

The steps mentioned above are only a general guideline. Every hypnotist has his own way of handling the patients. This treatment is assuming more significance because people also solve other problems like depression and anxiety simultaneously whether or not they are related to smoking. Many patients claim to have quit smoking through this method effectively. You can refer a free smoking cessation hypnosis script for more information.
