Addiction

A smoking addiction refers to the condition where a person has become too much dependent on cigarettes and stopping smoking can cause him severe emotional, mental or physical disturbances. Many people smoke only after becoming aware of its harmfulness.

The smoker who smokes several times in a day is called as chain smoker. So research says that about one in three smokers will die if they fail to stop smoking. Most smokers try to stop smoking but they hardly succeed. The reason behind this poor success rate is that they have become addicted to it.

Sometimes people stop smoking when they reach sixty, but all the possible harms have been caused to the body by that time. Bu many people think that being addicted means the habit cannot be stopped. The truth is it can be stopped but with little difficulty. If the smoker is willing to quit and follows the right path, then he can quit smoking at any stage.
